This 9CT Aida cloth is a 100% cotton counted fabric designed primarily for cross-stitch and other counted-thread embroidery. Its regular open grid makes the stitching positions easy to identify, particularly for larger patterns and beginner-friendly embroidery kits.
The fabric is supplied in white at a standard width of 150cm. Approximately nine fabric squares are arranged within each inch, providing a larger working grid than higher-count Aida fabrics.
The cloth has a stiff starched finish that helps it remain flat during stitching and may allow many projects to be worked without an embroidery hoop. After the finished embroidery is dipped or rinsed in water, the starch releases and the fabric develops a softer hand.
