Product Description
Indigo black denim jeans fabric is a yarn-dyed cotton-blend twill built for jeans production, combining 70% cotton with 28% polyester and 2% spandex. Denim and garment manufacturers, fashion brands, and denim fabric wholesalers source it as a dark base cloth that keeps its depth of shade through garment washing.
MH supplies this denim woven at 160cm and finished at 10oz (±5%), with sanforizing already applied so cut panels behave predictably on the sewing line. The 2-way stretch comes from the spandex in the blend rather than a surface treatment, giving fitted jeans comfort while keeping the firm twill body buyers expect from denim.
Rolls run approximately 100 meters at around 340gsm, in a clean no-slub construction. Beyond indigo black, the same base is offered in dark blue, heavy dark blue and sulfur black, and other weights across the denim range can be quoted for bulk programs.
Features
- Cotton-rich 70/28/2 blend — the cotton majority keeps an authentic denim hand while polyester adds tear resistance and shape retention through repeated laundering.
- Sanforized before shipment — pre-shrinking limits dimensional movement after washing, so size specs and pattern grading hold from sampling into bulk.
- 10oz mid-weight body — heavy enough for five-pocket jeans and jackets, light enough to sew and wash without slowing a production line.
- 2-way stretch from spandex — the 2% elastane gives comfort and recovery in fitted styles without the bagging seen in non-stretch denim.
- No-slub twill surface — an even face takes the dark indigo black shade consistently, which matters when cutting large single-color orders.
- 160cm usable width — wide yardage improves marker efficiency on trouser panels and lowers fabric waste per garment.
Applications
- Jeanswear production — Used by denim and garment manufacturers for five-pocket jeans, slim fits, and stretch bottoms.
- Denim outerwear — Sourced by apparel suppliers for denim jackets, shirt jackets, and casual overshirts.
- Fashion brand collections — Popular with fashion brands and private label developers building dark-wash seasonal denim lines.
- Fabric distribution — Supplied to denim fabric wholesalers and textile distributors selling roll goods to regional garment makers.
- Casualwear and workwear — Common among casualwear and uniform producers, who use it for durable pants, skirts, and utility styles.
Customization Service
- Color development — Dark blue, heavy dark blue and sulfur black shades can be produced alongside indigo black, with shade matched to buyer references.
- Weight range — Lighter or heavier denim constructions can be quoted when a collection needs a different hand than the 10oz build.
- Width options — Wider cuts beyond the standard 160cm are available where marker layouts call for extra yardage.
- Blend adjustment — Cotton, polyester and spandex ratios can be adjusted for firmer or more elastic denim depending on the garment type.
- Finishing and handfeel — Surface finishing can be specified to suit the buyer's own washing and treatment program.
- Roll packing — Roll length and packing format can be arranged to match cutting room handling.
