Embroidered beaded, sequins

This item is embroidery fabric used for wear on the top part of Thai/ Khmer traditional dress.

Great for: Shawl, sash, sabai, Thai costumes, wedding dress.

MH Thai embroidered beaded sabai lace is a 12-13 inch wide embroidered lace fabric worked in metallic gold with beads and sequins on a mesh glitter ground.

Beads, sequins and metallic gold embroidery sit over the glitter mesh, and that mesh carries the shine through the open areas between motifs instead of leaving them flat.

The fabric is worn on the top part of Thai and Khmer traditional dress, and is also cut for sabai, sash and shawl pieces, evening gowns and wedding dress panels.

Key Selling Points
  • Dimensional hand of real embroidery: MH Thai embroidered beaded sabai lace is worked with beads, sequins and metallic gold thread, giving the raised, light-catching surface that traditional Thai and Khmer dress calls for.
  • Shine across the whole ground: The mesh glitter base keeps the lace luminous between motifs, so the fabric still reads as gold where the beadwork opens out.
  • Exclusive lace design: MH develops the pattern and colourway from a customer's own artwork, so designers and costume houses can hold a design nobody else is selling.
  • One fabric for a whole outfit: The panel format lets the same lace serve sabai, sash, shawl and bodice pieces, keeping the motif consistent across the finished dress.
  • Made for dress makers: MH supplies garment factories, bridal ateliers and traditional costume workshops that need repeatable quality across a wedding or festival programme.
