Snap Stud Cap Button Fastener

Snap buttons, also known as press studs or snap fasteners, are widely used fastening components in the garment and textile industry. They provide a practical, secure, and aesthetically clean alternative to traditional buttons and zippers.

Structure

A standard snap button consists of four components, divided into two mating pairs:

  • Cap – The visible decorative part on the surface, available in metal or plastic.
  • Socket – Sits under the cap and contains a spring mechanism to receive the stud.
  • Stud – Inserts into the socket, providing the “snap” effect.
  • Post – Holds the stud securely on the fabric’s underside.

The socket and cap form the female side, while the stud and post form the male side.

Application: These snap stud press button rivets can be applied for DIY crafts or clothing such as shoes, hats, jeans, windbreaker, down jacket, jackets and so on
