Product Details

Polyester warp-knitted jacquard tweed fabric is a textured, tweed-look textile knitted on a stable warp-knit ground, giving womenswear brands the boucle-style surface of classic tweed with far better dimensional stability. The jacquard structure builds multi-color patterning directly into the knit, so the fabric suits tailored fashion pieces rather than plain shell linings.

MH supplies this fabric to garment manufacturers and fashion labels producing structured outerwear and dresses. The warp-knit base is engineered with a spandex content that adds gentle stretch and recovery, and the jacquard motif can be developed to a buyer's own colorway and pattern brief for private-label collections.

Standard construction runs at 136cm width and around 205gsm, a medium weight that holds a tailored shape while remaining comfortable to sew and cut. Rolls are wrapped in plastic bags for bulk shipment, and the polyester-spandex blend keeps the surface wrinkle-resistant through cut-and-sew and end use.

Features

  • Warp-knit ground — the knitted base resists laddering and holds its shape better than woven tweed, reducing panel distortion in structured garments.
  • Jacquard patterning — multi-color geometric and tweed motifs are formed in the knit itself, so texture and color survive repeated wear without printing loss.
  • Stretch spandex blend — added elasticity gives sewing ease and comfort in fitted jackets and dresses, cutting the need for separate stretch panels.
  • Medium 205gsm weight — enough body for tailored blazers and skirts while staying light enough for transitional-season apparel.
  • Wrinkle resistance — the polyester-rich blend recovers from creasing, an advantage for shipped and warehoused finished-goods programs.

Application

  • Womenswear outerwear — sourced by fashion brands for tweed-style blazers, jackets, and cropped coats that need a textured, tailored surface.
  • Dresses and skirts — popular with apparel manufacturers producing shift dresses, A-line skirts, and matching two-piece sets.
  • Suiting and co-ords — used by garment makers for lightweight suit separates and coordinated fashion collections.
  • Accessories panels — chosen by textile wholesalers supplying makers of structured bags, hats, and trim details.

Customization Service

  • Custom jacquard motifs — geometric, plaid, or tweed patterns developed to a buyer's design brief.
  • Color and colorway — yarn-dyed shades matched to seasonal palettes, available in multiple colors upon request.
  • Width and weight adjustment — construction tuned toward lighter or firmer handfeel within the warp-knit range.
  • Blend options — polyester and spandex ratios adapted for more structure or more stretch.
  • Finishing — surface handfeel and matte or subtle-luster options set to program requirements.
