Product Details

300T waterproof polyester taffeta is a tightly woven, plain-weave polyester fabric finished with a water-repellent coating, widely sourced by outerwear and bag makers who need a lightweight yet durable lining or shell.

MH supplies this taffeta by the roll to garment factories, bag producers, and fabric wholesalers, with the 300T density giving a denser, more stable hand than lower 190T-210T counts. Colors are dyed to order and the water-repellent finish can be tuned for lining or shell use.

Each roll runs 150cm wide at roughly 72g/m2, plain-woven from 50D x 50D polyester yarn and roll-packed in export cartons. The semi-dull surface keeps a subtle sheen without glare, making shades easy to match across production batches.

Features

  • 300T dense weave — the higher thread count resists snags and holds its shape better than 190T linings, lowering reject rates in finished garments.
  • Water-repellent finish — sheds light rain and helps block down migration, so one fabric can serve both shell and lining roles.
  • Lightweight plain weave — at about 72g/m2 it adds minimal bulk, keeping jackets and bags packable and trimming shipping weight.
  • Dyed-to-order colors — consistent shade matching across rolls simplifies large multi-color apparel programs.
  • OEKO-TEX certified base — the polyester meets Standard 100 limits, easing compliance for brands selling into regulated markets.

Usage

ScenarioUsages

Ordinary Clothing

  • Low Density (180T–190T): Used as linings or inner layers in casual jackets and workwear; found in some budget windbreaker models.
  • Medium Density (210T–230T): Employed as outer fabric for lightweight jackets, windbreakers, and raincoats, often with a protective coating.
  • High Density (290T–300T): Applied in down jacket shells and high-end outerwear to ensure structural stability and enhanced weather resistance.
Wedding/Bridal Attire
  • Low Density (180T–190T): Utilized as inner linings or base layers to add volume while keeping costs down.
  • Medium Density (210T–230T): Commonly used as the primary fabric in floor-length gowns and bridesmaids’ dresses, delivering well-defined pleats and an elegant shine.
  • High Density (290T–300T): Favored for high-end custom wedding gowns and formal wear that require a structured, luxurious appearance.
Home Textiles
  • Low Density (180T–190T): Used for dust covers, curtain linings, and inner layers of storage fabrics.
  • Medium Density (210T–230T): Suitable for curtains, tablecloths, and decorative dining fabrics requiring attractive drape and sheen.
  • High Density (290T–300T): Applied in luxury curtains, drapes, and high-end gift packaging linings for a premium finish.
Outdoor Products
  • Low Density (180T–190T): Common in standard umbrellas, inner layers of simple tents, and inexpensive kites for temporary outdoor use.
  • Medium Density (210T–230T): Widely used in camping tent canopies, raincoats, sun shades, and sleeping bag linings due to balanced performance.
  • High Density (290T–300T): Found in high-end umbrellas, professional outdoor gear, and as linings in premium down sleeping bags for demanding conditions.
Bag Accessories
  • Low Density (180T–190T): Ideal for lightweight eco bags or backpack linings, focusing on cost-efficiency and portability.
  • Medium Density (210T–230T): Commonly used for mid-range bag linings and external pockets, balancing durability and affordability.
  • High Density (290T–300T): Suitable for premium or outdoor bags' linings and compartments, emphasizing abrasion resistance and water protection.
