MH #5 concealed nylon zipper with protective teeth is a closed-end nylon coil zipper in chain size #5, built on polyester tape with a fabric tape sewn over the teeth so that only a 1mm gap stays visible.
The protective teeth construction comes from that sewn-over tape layer, so the coil sits under fabric rather than on the surface of the seam.
The #5 chain is wider and carries more load than finer #3 or #4 gauges, so it suits heavier closures such as jackets, ski and down outerwear, suitcases, luggage and footwear.
