MH 9 inch wide plush knitted elastic band is a knitted stretch tape measuring 23.2cm across, built from polyester yarn over latex rubber threads with a plush face.

Knitting the tape rather than weaving it lets the structure stretch and recover in the width direction while the latex threads carry the elastic power. At 23.2cm the tape is far wider than a conventional garment elastic, which puts it in the band, support and panel category rather than the trim category.
