Product Details
Knitted cotton eyelet lace fabric is an eyelet embroidered broderie anglaise fabric built on a soft knitted cotton ground, supplied to garment manufacturers, blouse and dress makers, childrenswear brands and lace fabric wholesalers. The punched eyelet motifs give the open, airy look buyers expect from broderie anglaise, while the knitted base keeps the fabric fluid and comfortable against the skin.
MH knits the cotton base and embroiders the eyelet pattern in house, using a 25g/m2 water-soluble paper backing that dissolves after embroidery so the openwork stays clean and the hand-feel stays natural. Unlike a stiff woven ground, the knitted base carries a slight give, which makes the fabric behave well in jersey-style tops, soft dresses and easy-fitting children's garments. Motifs, scale and layout can be developed to a buyer's own artwork.
The fabric runs 130cm wide and is reinforced with 300D milk silk for a stable, well-held structure that cuts and sews without curling at the edges. It is rolled at 30 to 45 yards per roll, or packed to the buyer's own specification. Color is matched to a Pantone reference or a submitted swatch, with dyed-to-order shades for bulk production programs.
Features
- Knitted cotton ground — the loop structure gives softness and a light natural stretch that a woven eyelet base cannot offer, suiting relaxed and jersey-style garments.
- Eyelet embroidered openwork — the punched and stitched holes create the classic broderie anglaise look, so buyers get a decorative surface without adding a separate trim.
- Water-soluble paper backing — the 25g/m2 backing supports the embroidery during production and washes away afterward, leaving no stiffness in the finished yardage.
- 300D milk silk reinforcement — holds the embroidered areas in shape through cutting, sewing and laundering, reducing distortion on the production line.
- 130cm usable width — a practical width for garment yardage, allowing efficient marker layout on bodices, skirt panels and sleeves.
- Pantone-based color matching — shades are dyed to order against buyer references, so seasonal ranges stay consistent across repeat programs.
Application
- Womenswear — Used by dress and blouse manufacturers for summer dresses, camisole tops, sleeve panels and yokes where a soft cotton eyelet surface is wanted.
- Childrenswear — Popular with children's apparel brands for baby dresses, pinafores, rompers and trims on lightweight cotton garments.
- Fabric distribution — Supplied to lace and fabric wholesalers who resell embroidered cotton yardage to regional apparel producers.
- Fashion accessories — Sourced by accessory suppliers for fabric bags, shoe uppers and decorative panels that need a stable embroidered cotton face.
- Private label programs — Common among sourcing companies and brands, who use it for own-design broderie anglaise collections produced season after season.
Customization Service
- Pattern development — Eyelet motifs, hole size, spacing and repeat scale can be created from buyer artwork or adapted from existing MH designs.
- Color matching — Any shade dyed to a Pantone number or a physical swatch, with lab dips submitted for approval before bulk.
- Base fabric options — The knitted cotton ground can be adjusted in weight and construction for softer drape or firmer body, depending on the end garment.
- Width and cut — Widths other than the standard cut can be arranged to match a buyer's cutting table and marker requirements.
- Roll and packing format — Roll length, wrapping and carton marking adapted to the buyer's warehouse and shipment handling.
