Features
  • Provides Crisp Support And Is Suitable for Shoes, Hats, Leather Goods, Cuffs, Hem, The Collar of Suits, Coats, and Shirts
  • Works Well on the Bonding of Various Double-Layer Fabrics

MH polyester non-woven fusible interlining tape is a narrow hot-fuse interlining cut to a 2.5cm width and made at 23g/m², with a heat-activated adhesive on one face that bonds to fabric under a press.

The carrier is a polyester non-woven web rather than a woven or knitted cloth, so the tape has no grain direction and can be laid along a straight hem, around a curved armhole or down a placket without pulling the panel off shape.

At 23g/m² the web is light enough to disappear inside a double-layer construction while still adding the crisp body that a collar, cuff or hem edge needs. Fusing is done by heat and pressure, so the tape is positioned on the wrong side of the panel and pressed rather than stitched, which keeps the face of the fabric clean.

Typical placements are suit and shirt collars, cuffs, hems and coat edges, plus shoe and hat components and leather goods where a narrow reinforcement has to sit flat. The tape is supplied in black, white and grey so it can be chosen to sit under a light or dark shell without shadowing through.

Key Selling Points

  • Bonds without stitching: The non-woven fusible interlining tape is activated by heat and pressure, so an edge or seam is reinforced with a press rather than a stitch line and the face of the garment stays unmarked.
  • Crisp support without bulk: The lightweight polyester non-woven web adds body to collars, cuffs and hems while staying thin enough to remain invisible inside a double-layer construction.
  • No grain direction to fight: Because the carrier is a non-woven web, the tape follows curved armholes and shaped edges as readily as a straight hem, without distorting the panel it is fused to.
  • Shade options for light and dark shells: Black, white and grey are stocked so the tape can be matched to the shell fabric and will not shadow through a pale panel.
  • Certified interlining supply: The fusible interlining tape is produced under OEKO-TEX certification, which supports garment buyers whose customers audit interlinings for restricted substances.
  • Beyond apparel: The same tape is used in shoe and hat components and leather goods, so a single reinforcement item can cover several product lines in one buying programme.
