Product Details

MH bonded nylon sewing thread is a continuous-filament polyamide 6.6 thread whose plies are locked together by a bonding resin applied during twisting, so the thread sews as a single strand instead of separating into its component plies.

Nylon 6.6 filament gives the thread its tenacity and its resistance to abrasion, and the bonded coating adds a second layer of protection: the resin seals the ply structure so the thread does not untwist or fray as it passes through a heavy needle plate and a thick material stack at speed.

This is the thread used for upholstery and car seat work, leather goods and footwear, outdoor gear such as tents, awnings and packs, and canvas products in general.

Key Selling Points

  • Plies stay locked together: The bonding resin seals the plies of this bonded nylon sewing thread into one strand, so the thread does not untwist or split into fuzz while it runs through a heavy machine at speed.
  • Built for abrasive materials: Nylon 6.6 filament combined with the bonded finish gives the thread the abrasion resistance a seam needs when it is pulled through leather, coated canvas or a foam-backed upholstery panel.
  • Clean, glossy stitch line: Continuous filament rather than spun yarn keeps the stitch even and lustrous, which matters where top-stitching is part of the visible design of a seat, bag or boot.
  • Lubricated for high-speed sewing: The finish carries a lubricant that holds needle temperature down on fast industrial machines, reducing thread breaks and stoppages on long production runs.
  • Outdoor-ready options: UV-resistant versions are available for tents, awnings, marine covers and other products whose seams stay exposed to sunlight for years.
  • Color matched to order: The thread is produced raw white and dyed to a buyer's own reference, so seams can be tone-matched to leather, canvas or upholstery fabric rather than approximated from stock shades.

Nylon Bonded Sewing Thread

Nylon bonded sewing thread is made of polyamide 6.6 synthetic fiber, popular name Nylon 6.6 or 6 synthetic fiber, through a special process to bond while twisting the fiber, then sticking and finalizing all-fiber together like one. While sewing, the bonded thread does not disentwine, not cottony, has high resistance to abrasion.

The sewing effect is wonderful due to the advantage of nylon material and the effective disposal of lubricants.

Denier of 35d to 500d, with Elongation % Min-Max:14-35. 80% no knot and 20% one knot. Make raw white and dyed colors. It is available in different sizes and dimensions.
