DB*1 Industrial Sewing Machine Needles
Spec: 18#, 10pcs/bag
Packaging: 10pcs/bag, 50bags/box, 80boxes/ctn
Machine Type: Sewing Machine
The DB*1 industrial sewing machine needle is the globally recognized standard for single-needle lockstitch machines, equivalent to system designations 16×231, 16×257, and 287WH. Its standardized round shank fits the industrial machine clamp of virtually every major lockstitch platform, giving garment factories and cut-and-sew operations a single needle series that works across their entire production floor without retooling or adapter components.
DB*1 needles are fully compatible with leading industrial machine brands including Juki, Brother, Jack, Siruba, and Singer 191 series, as well as the broader population of Chinese-manufactured and globally distributed lockstitch machines. Rated for operating speeds between 3,000 and 5,500 RPM, these needles maintain stitch integrity and dimensional stability under continuous high-speed industrial production conditions, reducing thread breakage and needle-change downtime across high-volume runs.
Each needle is produced from high-carbon steel or a chrome-nickel alloy core and finished with a standard nickel surface treatment. An optional titanium nitride (TiN) physical vapour deposition coating is available for operations running synthetic-heavy fabrics or extended needle-life requirements; the TiN layer significantly reduces surface friction, heat generation, and adhesive build-up against thermoplastic fibre blends. The precision-ground long front groove and short rear scarf geometry are optimised for lockstitch loop formation at rated RPM, minimising skipped stitches on both woven and stretch constructions.
The DB*1 range covers metric/imperial sizes from 65/9 through 130/21 and is offered in nine point-type variants — sharp (Ru), standard ballpoint (Su/SES), light ballpoint (SUK), stretch, denim (Di), embroidery (Se), leather (Ly/LR), cutting point, and titanium-coated — enabling a single supplier relationship to cover every fabric weight and application across a factory's product mix. Trade packaging starts at 10-pack cards; factory buyers can order 100-pack bulk polybags, 1,000-pack factory cartons, or 10,000-pack OEM master cartons with custom brand printing and assortment configurations available on request.
